Web Accessibility Statement

The European Parliament Office in the UK website follows guidelines on accessibility set out by the W3C (the World Wide Web Consortium). The W3C WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) produces accessibility guidelines (WCAG 1.0 and WCAG 2.0) that are an internationally recognised benchmark of accessibility.
In designing this website, we have applied all appropriate WAI Priority 1 and Priority 2 criteria of the WAI's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 1.0). Our aim is to achieve WAI Level AA (Double A) compliance. There are a number of features we provide to enhance accessibility.

Skip Link

We have provided a skip link to people using JAWS or other screen readers to jump straight down to the page content.

Changing Text Size

We have provided controls on this site to enlarge text size. Alternatively, you can change your text size using your browser: For Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, select Text size from the View menu or hold the Control key and use the scroll wheel on your mouse. If you are using another browser, please refer to your browser help to learn how to resize text

Print Friendly

This website is also optimised for printing. Simply print the page using your browsers print option and the page will print out to fit the width of the paper.

Use of PDF Format

The site makes use of Portable Document Format (PDF). Certain documents (such as forms and certain reports) on this site are available in PDF format, which requires you to download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software. We have, wherever possible, provided a non-PDF alternative where there is a PDF document.

If you cannot access the information in any PDF document please contact us at eplondon@europarl.europa.eu or phone us as 020 7227 4300.

We are committed to making our website accessible to all people, regardless of ability. If you feel that this website could be easier to use, or you have difficulty accessing any information or find that any part of the site is not accessible, please email eplondon@europarl.europa.eu
