European Parliament Information Offices
The European Parliament has Information Offices in all the Member States of the European Union.
Projet Citoyen
Projet Citoyen started life because of the realisation that young people (and adults!) across Europe often know very little of the work and importance of the European Parliament. With the help of a grant fromt he Parliament a group of Sixth Year students in East Dunbartonshire set out to do something about that. They started using the Internet to research various European themes, and worked in groups looking at a particular area of European policy.
They also visited Strasbourg, visited the Parliament, made contact with other young Europeans, and met with MEPs and senior officers of the Parliament. To disseminate further what they learned, the students developed an interactive online quiz. Aimed at younger pupils in S1 or S2, the quiz is entertaining and informative. It is web-based and will be used in the schools of East Dunbartonshire and can be disseminated on a wider basis.
