How to track legislation
Trying to track down what's happening to a particular piece of legislation?
We suggest four courses of action:
- The most thorough resource is to go to the main European Parliament website and use the Legislative Observatory. Using the search engines within the Legislative Observatory, you can find background information and the latest state of play on all legislation and reports going through the European Parliament.
- To receive weekly updates on what's being discussed the following week either in the full Parliament or in committee you can subscribe to our free electronic newsletter EP News. EP news also brings you highlights of the last plenary session and any press releases issued by the UK Office.
This UK-specific information is not available in the Legislative Observatory, but we have added it as an extra resource here, given the number of queries we receive on legislation after it has completed its passage through the EU institutions.
