July 2012

Björn Kjellström, Head of Office

I'm reliably informed that summer is here (not that you would know it). Still, it must be true, as according to the calendar on my wall the European Parliament is about to sit for its last plenary session ahead of recess .
Meanwhile back at Europe House we'll be talking about active ageing and human rights (specifically about the appointment of a brand new EU Envoy on Human Rights). We'll also be visiting the biggest village show in Cumbria to discuss how decisions made at EU level impact on people's daily lives when it comes to food, employment and the environment.
Then, as London braces itself for the Olympics, we'll be putting the finishing touches on our busy Autumn schedule.
Watch this space and have a great "summer" ☂

Best wishes,
Björn Kjellström
