UK MEPs

The UK is divided into twelve regions. Each region has between three and ten MEPs and each MEP in a region represents each person living there. For example, if you live in Cambridge, all seven Eastern MEPs represent you and you can contact any or all of them.

Please note that the London region comprises the 74 Westminster parliamentary constituencies in the Greater London area, stretching out as far as Harrow, Kingston upon Thames, Sutton and Cheam, Croydon, Bromley, Hornchurch and Enfield.

Please also note that residents of Gibraltar vote in the South West region (since June 2004).

ENGLAND
England is divided into 9 electoral regions (Gibraltar is joined with the South West region) as follows

EASTERN: Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Luton, Norfolk, Peterborough, Southend-on-Sea, Suffolk, Thurrock

EAST MIDLANDS: Derbyshire, Derby, Leicester, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Nottingham, Rutland

LONDON: The administrative area of Greater London

NORTH EAST: Darlington, Durham, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Northumberland, Redcar and Cleveland, Stockton-on-Tees, Tyne and Wear

NORTH WEST: Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Halton, Lancashire, Merseyside, Warrington

SOUTH EAST: Bracknell Forest, Brighton and Hove, Buckinghamshire, East Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Medway Towns, Milton Keynes, Newbury, Oxfordshire, Portsmouth, Reading, Slough, Southampton, Surrey, West Sussex, Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham

SOUTH WEST: Bath and North East Somerset, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Plymouth, Poole, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, Torbay, Wiltshire, Isles of Scilly, Gibraltar

Scotland is a single electoral region containing all the unitary authorities in Scotland

Wales is a single electoral region containing all the unitary authorities in Wales

NORTHERN IRELAND
Northern Ireland is a single electoral region containing all the district councils in Northern Ireland
