
Set in Calais, France, Welcome tells the tale of a French swimming instructor who chooses to help out a young Kurdish refugee who needs to swim across the English Channel to join his girlfriend.

The Lisbon Treaty entered into force on 1 December 2009. For some, this Treaty was a mere tidying up exercise of the EU’s legal framework; for others it constituted a decisive step towards a federal Europe.
