Christine grew up, went to school and started her working life in Cambridge. She keeps strong ties to the area where her father and brother still live.
She joined the Information Service of the European Parliament in 1980 later becoming coordinator of the Inter-parliamentary Delegations. She arrived in the London Office in 1998.
Earlier in her career, Christine was assistant to the Secretary of the Oxford and Cambridge Examination Board.
Regular attendance at teachers' conferences has led to a growing interest in education and she is now resident education 'expert' in the London Office.
