EP News, April 24th, 2008 (No. 355)

 

There are no official meetings in the European Parliament during the week 28 April to 2 May. MEPs return to Brussels on 5 May (not a Bank Holiday in Belgium) for committee meetings and the plenary session in Brussels on 7-8 May.

Jonathan Evans MEP (Conservative, Wales) and Bairbre de Brún MEP (Sinn Féin, Northern Ireland) will take part in a delegation to Washington from the Climate Change Temporary Committee (Mon-Weds).  They will meet US Congress members, representatives of the Administration and of NGOs.

A delegation from the Agriculture Committee will visit Brazil to discuss beef exports to the EU. UK MEPs taking part are: Neil Parish (Conservative, South West, chair of the committee); Jim Allister (Independent, Northern Ireland); Richard Ashworth (Conservative, South East), Jim Nicholson (UUP, Northern Ireland). The visit will take place from Sunday 27 April to Thursday 1 May.
