The Week Ahead, 16-20 April 2007

From 16-20 April, MEPs will meet in their political groups to prepare voting positions ahead of the following week's plenary session of parliament.

Highlights of the session week (23-26 April) in Strasbourg include:-

  • Payment services in the internal market
  • Advanced therapy medicinal products
  • Improvement of the portability of supplementary pension rights
  • Multilateral Agreement on the Establishment of a European Common Aviation Area (ECAA)
  • Budget 2008: The Commission's annual strategic priorities
  • Combating HIV/AIDS within the EU and neighbouring countries, 2006-2009
  • Assessment and management of flood risks
  • Formal sitting - India: Address by Abdul Kalam, President of the Republic of India
  • Criminal measures to enforce intellectual property rights
  • Common Fisheries Policy (Regional Advisory Councils).
