The Week Ahead in the European Parliament

From 5-8 March, MEPs will meet in their political groups to prepare voting positions ahead of the following week's plenary session of parliament. Highlights of the session week (12-15 March) in Strasbourg include:-

  • Spirit drinks definitions - 1st reading directive (possibly);
  • Advanced therapy medicinal products - 1st reading directive;
  • Intellectual property rights - 1st reading directive;
  • Corporate Social Responsibility - Richard Howitt MEP (Lab, Eastern);
  • Music royalty rights;
  • Beef from cattle less than 12 months old .

Open Call for Tenders: European Parliament Visitors' Centre

An open call for tenders for the European Parliament Visitors' Centre has been launched, consisting of 4 lots as follows:

  • Lot 1 - European history and history of European integration
  • Lot 2 - European studies and European law
  • Lot 3 - Social studies           
  • Lot 4 - General information relating to Europe 

Parties interested in submitting an offer are invited to consult the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ/S 25/2007) published on 6 February 2007.

* The time-limit for receipt of requests for documents is 6 March 2007 at 5pm (Brussels time).

* The time-limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 19 March 2007 at 5pm (Brussels time).
