EP News, July 15th, 2005 (No. 221)
The European Parliament is now in
summer recess. MEPs will reconvene in Brussels on Monday 29 August for committee
meetings and to prepare positions ahead of the next full session of the Parliament
in Strasbourg from 5-8 September.
The next 'Week Ahead' edition of EP News will be sent out on 26 August. However,
we do intend to send out two further editions through the summer with updates
on Latest News and an overview of the first 12 months of this Parliament; also
with new In Focus topics.
Subscribers should also note a new section on our website devoted to UK ministers
appearing at the European Parliament, with links either to their speeches or
to summaries of their debates with MEPs. This will cover the period from the
Prime Minister Tony Blair's speech to the full Parliament on 23 June, through
the whole UK Presidency of the EU until 31 December 2005. [
