MEPs vote on an EU-wide blacklist for unsafe airlines Agreement was reached between the European Parliament and Council at 1st reading. This Regulation (21/11/2005) has now been approved and was published in the Official Journal on 27 December 2005:
The Regulation came into force on 16 January 2006 and the first list of air carriers subject to an operating ban within the Community was published in March 2006.
