Health and nutrition claims on food The Regulation took effect on 1 July 2007. Implementation in the UK will be overseen by the Food Standards Agency. The FSA held a consultation in March 2007 on the implementation of the Regulation in the UK The FSA is currently revising its guidance as a result of consultation comments received The FSA is responsible for compiling the list of claims for the UK and full details of this process and instructions on how to submit eligible claims are available on the FSA website at:http://www.food.gov.uk/foodlabelling/ull/claims/ The final list of UK health claims will be published on the Food Standards Agency website at the same time as it is submitted to the European Commission, before 31 January 2008.
