Parliament ushers

There are 180 ushers in the EP whereas only 33 in the House of Commons (Bumper Book of Government Waste, 2006)

The European Parliament works in 20 languages, whereas the House of Commons works only in English. There would be little point in a Slovenian usher trying to talk to a Finnish MEP in Slovenian.
