Televising the European Parliament

Euro MPs want to set up the most boring TV station in the world - at a cost of £42million a year to taxpayers (The People, October 2005).

The planned European Parliament web-based TV would be available via the internet. The estimated cost of opening up the European democratic process for everyone to view is about £5.5m - a fraction of the figure quoted in The People.
