TTIP, e-Call and data protection - this week in the European Parliament

MEPs return to Brussels on 12th March for a mixed week of Committee meetings, work in their constituencies or delegation visits.

Highlights

TTIP. MEPs and the European Commissioner for Trade will debate the proposed investment protection and investor-to-state dispute settlement (ISDS). Wednesday

e-call. A life-saving automatic emergency call system for cars, to enable emergency services to reach crash scenes faster, will be put to a vote. (Monday)

Data protection/ EU-US. Data protection, mass surveillance and counter-terrorism initiatives, including Passenger Name Records (PNR), will be among topics discussed by a delegation of MEPs travelling to Washington to meet members of the US Congress and US Government.
