TTIP, biofuels, passenger name records - this week in the European Parliament
MEPs return to Brussels on 23rd February for a mixed week of Committee meetings, Political Group meetings and plenary on Monday 23rd February. The plenary is when Members of the European Parliament from all political groups and from all countries meet in the parliamentary chamber to discuss and vote on legislation.
TTIP The European Parliament will discuss how to move forward on the wide-scale trade agreement with the USA.
Biofuels A move towards cleaner biofuels will be put to a vote on Tuesday.
Passenger Name Records MEPs will seek agreement on an EU system for the use of Passenger Name Record (PNR) data. Lead MEP Timothy Kirkhope (ECR, UK) will present a timetable on Thursday for approval by the end of the year.
ETS New law to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by tackling low carbon prices to be voted on Tuesday.
