PRESS BRIEFING: Personal Data Protection & European Parliament inquiry on electronic mass surveillance

Seminar for journalists writing about data protection or EU citizens' right to privacy and data protection. Strasbourg 11-12 March 2014.

The press briefing will consist of a short technical briefing ahead of the press conference with the Rapporteurs on Personal Data Protection (Wednesday morning).

Journalists are also invited to follow the debates & vote in plenary on both the Personal Data Protection (regulation & directive) and the EP inquiry on electronic mass surveillance. Debates are scheduled to start on Tuesday 11 March from 15h00 onwards, the votes will take place at Wednesday noon.

There will be also a press conference by the Rapporteur on the EP inquiry on electronic mass surveillance on Wednesday after the votes.

The seminar envisages a two-night stay in Strasbourg and travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.
