MEPs return to Brussels on 25 March for committee meetings before the Easter break.

Committee highlights:

Ship recycling
The Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety will vote on new rules for recycling ships, to prevent EU vessels posing a health and environment risk when they are dismantled at the end of their service. Some ships are currently being scrapped in dangerous conditions in third countries. (Tuesday)

Globalisation adjustment fund
The Committee on Budgets will vote on whether to recommend a green light to release funds and help workers who have been made redundant in Austria and Italy. (Tuesday)

Tourism debate
The Committee on Transport and Tourism will discuss issues such as quality labels and a harmonised star rating system for hotels with Commissioner Antonio Tajani, in the context of the "Tourism Task Force" exploring possible proposals at EU level. (Tuesday)
