020 7227 4328
Elisabeth left her home town, Manchester, in 1982 to work in the south of England before taking up a position as a EU official in the European Parliament in Brussels in 1985. Throughout her 27 year career working in Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg in the administrative and political secretariats of the European Parliament, Elisabeth maintained strong connections with the UK, both north and south, enhanced even further since her transfer in 2004 to work in the Information Office of the European Parliament in the UK based in London.
Here her role, as an Information Officer, is to develop networks across a wide range of membership organisations, particularly in civil society, with the aim of providing information on how the EU works and how citizens can engage with the UK's elected 73 Members of the European Parliament. She works with the Houses of Parliament Outreach team across the country in delivering sessions on how the two Parliaments work and how people can engage in the democratic process. Elisabeth is a keen networker with a commitment to improving the working relationships between the European Parliament, its MEPs and the UK electorate. She is available to discuss ideas to enhance citizens' knowledge of the work of the European Parliament and to attend events which encourage this.
