The European Parliament's Directorate General for Communication of the European Parliament has recently published a "call for proposals" inviting interested parties to
apply for grant funding for projects aimed at raising awareness of the work of European Parliament and its Members. Projects may consist of TV or radio programmes as well as Internet-based initiatives.
The European Parliament plays a key role in shaping EU legislation on environmental protection, consumer rights, equal opportunities, transport, and the free movement of workers, capital, services and goods. Parliament also has joint power with the Council over the annual budget of the European Union.
The closing date for applications for this round of funding is
1 September 2009.
